If you have relaxed hair, it is time to grow your relaxer out TODAY! I cannot tell you enough how bad and terrible relaxers are for black hair. Not only does it break your hair off, but it also releases chemicals into your blood stream! Need I say more? If you want healthy hair, this has GOT to be step number one!! So today is the day for you to transition. (which means, doing styles that take you from relaxed the natural without sissors) We don't believe in the "big chop", little chop, tiny chop, NO chop! lol. Don't touch that hair with those sissors!!
- MOISTURIZE YOUR ENDS DAILY!! Hair doesn't grow from the ends, it grows from the roots right?? Yes, but hair retention comes from how much hair you can retain. So a lot of the times we think our hair isn't growing, but it is! We just are not taking care of the ends of our hair, so inevitably, it always looks short!
- Heat = Dangerous! Okay I know curls are the thing to do in Pentecost ladies, but come on. Not one more day can your hair afford to be fried at the expense of looking cute. Especially when there are other ways to achieve the same styles with without heat!! For example, you can do bantu knots for curls! Super simple and you achieve beautiful, bouncy curls!! There are twist outs if you're more into wavey curls... there are braid outs.. etc, etc!!
- Protect your hair! We need to believe in protective styling!!!!! (Protective styling is the type of styling that prevents you from excess combing, pulling, touching, etc your hair)
