Hair Tip #9: How to Properly Seal in Moisture

How do you seal in moisture?
That is a very important question!

I have an easy answer. It is as simple as ….

1.

You have GOT TO put water in your locks!
I know we all heard that water messes up our
hair or that water makes our hair dry- but that is
a myth if you add the other two things...

2.

You need some type of creme based moisturizer
to pump moisture into your tresses. You don't want
hair that looks like a dry jerry curl, you know? :)
There are SO many different options, I listed a few!

3.

This is the KEY to SEALING in your moisture!
You don't want to waste time putting in moisture
that will evaporate and dry up! LOCK it in!

Lets Recap,

  • Water is important, but water left alone in your hair will cause drying. This is only the first step, but it is an important first step!
  • A crème based leave in conditioner is important, but without an oil to seal in the moisture, the moisture you put into your hair will not be locked in
  • Oil is important, but oil alone is not moisturizing, it is nourishing. It will not do for your hair what a crème based leave in conditioner will do!
  • To properly seal in moisture, YOU NEED ALL 3!
