MADRID Lille entered the winter break with the French league lead after a 1-1 tie with Saint-Etienne.
Lille striker Moussa Sow scored his league-leading 14th goal in the 72nd minute, collecting Gervinho's cross into the box and outpacing U.S. captain Carlos Bocanegra before beating goalkeeper Jeremie Janot. Bakary Sako converted a penalty kick three minutes later.
Lille (8-8-2) has 32 points, one more than Paris Saint-Germain, Rennes and Lyon (each 8-4-7).
PSG's 13-game unbeaten streak in all competitions ended when it lost 2-0 at Nancy. Rennes was defeated 1-0 at Caen and Lyon tied 1-1 against visiting Auxerre.
American forward Charlie Davies didn't dress for Sochaux's 2-1 loss at Monaco. Still trying to regain fitness following injuries sustained in an October 2009 car crash, Davies dressed Sunday but didn't play against Bordeaux.
