Product Review: Trader Joes Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo and Conditioner

My Review: I picked up this product from Trader Joes this week. It was $3.99 per bottle, which in my opinion is a STEAL. Considering I only wash once a week. (Of course my husband and I share shampoo too so sometimes it dwindles a little faster than I anticipate lol) Anyhow I am positive that of all the shampoos and conditioners I have tried, this is the BEST shampoo and conditioner that I have ever used! Now this set is definitely for all hair types but it was appealing to me in particular because I tend to have a dry scalp. So I am always looking for hydrating and soothing products to keep my dry scalp to a minimum or diminish it altogether.
This shampoo contains many natural ingredients including tea tree oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil, nettle oil, thyme oil, birch leaf oil, etc.   For me, the shampoo didn't make my hair feel anymore stripped than usual. You hair should feel slightly stripped when you use a shampoo because of the properties of shampoo. It is stripping dirt, excess oils, dust, etc. The shampoo felt incredible on my scalp! I was extremely impressed with the conditioner as well. My hair was extremely silky, smooth and my curls were light, fluffy and bouncy. After washing and taking a good look at my hair in the shower, I noticed how defined my curls looked! Great product!!

My other thoughts...
  • DON'T get it in your eyes, just a heads up!
  • The more you rub the product into your hair and scalp, the more invigorating it feels
  • There is a very strong peppermint scent :) I love it!
  • The conditioner has GREAT slip! It is very easy to finger comb and detangle with this product in
  • Again, its great for all hair types. My hubby used it and loved it. He said he liked it better than Nourish Spa. Especially the conditioner :) And if you didn't know, my husband is white with curly hair. (of course we rarely see the curls because he keeps it short)
Other Reviews

Price: Very inexpensive. $7.99+tax. (Roughly $8.98 with tax for me. Our tax is just about 10%)

Ingredients: ALL organic. No parabens.

What do others say?
Pros:
  • No parabens
  • Minty, refreshing and invigorating for scalp
  • Conditioner left hair feeling silky smooth
  • Bouncier curls

Cons:
  • Some find the shampoo to be to stripping on their hair
  • Has left some with tangles and knots
  •  Can only be found via trader joes

Nourish Spa Shampoo and Conditioner Review

SOooOo last night was one of the best hair washing experiences I have had like ever! I was having total epiphany moments the entire time. Like,

Why didn't I use this before?

My hair has never felt this clean!

OMW! My curls have never been this curly, defined and bouncy!

Seriously, I am NOT exaggerating, you have got to try organic shampoo
and conditioner!! Perhaps not the same kind I got, maybe you find another
kind that works for you. But woah, Organic Shampoo is the way to go.

The kind I have is:

Nourish Spa

This is the size of the bottles. 16.9 oz for $6.50 for BOTH bottles. If you don't have a trader joes, you can purchase it online, or find it in your local equvialent :)

 Happy organic shopping!

Organic Shampoo and Conditioner!

I am SooOoOoo excited!! Today I took a trip to Trader Joes to check out their shampoo and conditioner section. I've heard great things and a very close friend of mine told me how well it works. She told me your hair transforms into almost a new head of hair when you use organic shampoo, conditioner, etc. Now my trip was somewhat casual because I expected that I would be looking at at least $7 per bottle. As my hubby and I stroll down the aisle, I spotted the hair section. To my surprise, it was less than $3 per bottle!! (I paid $6.50 plus tax for shampoo AND conditioner). I could not beleive it! I kept looking at the front of the bottle thinking, okay it says s-h-a-m-p-o-o.. Then I would flip it over really quick to see all the ingredients. NO sodium lauryl sulfate! NO sodium laureth sulfate! N0 Chlorine!

I turned the bottle back over and read it to my hubby,

"Babe, it says shampoo.." I flipped the bottle over and shoved it in his face. "But look!! Its all organic! Not one bad thing!"

He smiled very patiently and says, "Wow babe. Look at that. Okay let's go"

LOL.

(I was a tad over the top. But comeon, how could you NOT be! For this price!!!)

Of course I wasn't ready to leave just yet. As I stood in the aisle in SHOCK I noticed there was organic toothpaste, deodorant, jajoba oil, tea tree oil, organic soap, and the list goes on. My mind started going...

Hmmm. I may have found a new favorite place. Ladies this is so exciting!!

ALL natural!

ALL organic!!

ALL good for my hair!!

ALL for $6.50!!

I'll let you know how it works. Hair washing day is tomorrow and BOY am I ever excited!!!
