Barn Yard Ice Cream Sandwiches

So, JT bought me this ice cream sandwich maker. It's pretty amazing and it makes barnyard shapes!!!

Here's how they turned out:
We used butter pecan ice cream and chocolate chip cookies.


Don't they look delicious?


Oozey. They were a lot better after we stuck them in the freezer a bit.

Asian Style

To achieve this hairstyle you need a good haircut, a good wax, straightening iron and a lot of time to kill.

After applying your wax, style your hair using a straightening iron. You hair has to be thick or else the spikes will just fall down. It would stay that way in a few hours if done properly and if you do not change the temperature and humidity of the room. Asian hair is normally thick and flat so you won't have trouble with those factors.

Have you seen anybody with that exact style on the streets?

If you say no, that's because it's styled for a fashion look. You have to apply tons of products (probably hair glue) or wax ( like the american crew fiber or paul mitchell dry wax) if you'll wear that outside and hangout by Starbucks. Plus it will look untidy after a few hours knowing the humid climate on where you're at.

Spiky hairs in asian countries cannot last for the whole day without refixing it every so often. I've seen Christian from project runway iron his hair while applying wax to attain a similar hairstyle so I think this one's like that. However, I think you should start finding a good stylist who could at least cut your hair to suit this kind of styling. Good luck on the money your gonna spend to all those styling products.

Smocking

Smocking is one of those things that can vary from day-to-day and person-to-person.

This was a fun one. I had originally started out with a triangle in the front of her head. It was a one-ponytail kind of day. She said I wasn't done, so I went to town.

I parted straight over from the back of the triangle on either side and pulled them into elastics.

Then I separated each of the three ponytails in half.

I pulled the inside part of the left ponytail to the left side of the center ponytail.

Then I did the same to the right side.

I left the outmost halves of the ponytails out and curled them slightly at the ends.

I curled the other two ponytails.

And then curled the ends of the hair under.

I'm graduating!!!!

SO, now that the papers and exams are FINALLY complete- I can breathe AND blog.
I am about to be a MASTER. My plan- get a job and buy myself a pipe to celebrate. (You just SEEM like a Master when you're smoking a pipe.)

Here's the skinny- I graduate May 17th from Baylor University with a MSed in Student Affairs Administration. I passed my comprehensive case study on the first go round (My cohort was the first in Baylor history to all pass on the first round.)

Job search:
I have been on two on campus interviews. One of those decisions is still pending while the other gave me the boot.
I have a phone interview scheduled for next week and another on campus interview scheduled for the week after graduation. Plus I am applying-applying-applying!!!


Prayer:
Please pray that I finish my assistantship with integrity (I have 7 hours left).
Please pray that I find a part time job in the interim, because I have bills to pay AND my student loans start again.
Please pray that God allows me to find a position that utilizes my strengths and allows me to be financially secure and helps me to be developed as a professional.

Inherited goods and a braided hair.

Some of my favourite things I own, are in fact things that I have inherited from relatives.
A polka-dotted little shawl, cuff links (which I actually haven't found a way to wear yet, but I will, soon!), and a pretty brooch from my grandmother, as well as two necklaces from her. In the winter, I like to snug up in a blue vest that used to be my grandfather's, because it's so nice and warm and it fits me well, too. I don't really know how exactly I've obtained the Chinese jewellery box, but it somehow found its way into my possession, and needless to say, I enjoy it very much. It's spacious, and it plays a nice tune when I open it. The teaset is probably my favourite. It's perfect for a little teaparty, if I should ever have one, that is.




Today I also experimented a little on a new hair style, and in my opinion it looks very nice. Especially with the small hearts on the side of the head!

Piggies and Curls

Miss Monkeypants came to play yesterday. It was early enough that her mommy hadn't done her hair yet. So of course I took it upon myself to do her hair (like you couldn't have guessed that).

I wet her hair down and parted it on the side where her normal part is.

Then I sectioned off part of each side and made four little ponytails on top.

On each ponytail I tied a ribbon.

And then I played with those curls.

I separated each one and pulled them apart because I wanted to see how curly I could make her hair.

It was so much fun!
