grand opening

My friend Knitmoka has just opened her new webstore, The Spiral Farm (named after the farm you have seen pictured on this blog many times). She hand makes tinctures, teas, soaps, salves, and other herbally based, natural skin care products for adults, babies and canines. I can personally vouch for her soaps -- I especially love the lavender and rosemary. Anyway, check it out at www.thespiralfarm.com.

mountain and baby

Wedding post to come soon, but for now I have a couple of non-wedding pictures (so many people were taking photos that I didn't bother, but nowI have to wait for them to circulate).

Both of my flights featured spectacular views, including a up-close-and-personal encounter with Mt. Rainier....

And upon arrival at the beach house, I was handed a 17 pound napping Zoe....

three point eight

I picked up my term paper (A! "I enjoyed reading this!") today and got my grade: 3.8! Not a sparkly 4.0, but not too shabby for someone who's been away from school for six years and doesn't know thing one about architecture.

This blog entry brought to you by Mister Finn...

In addition to swimming, Finn has become quite the jumper.....

green garden and wet dog

Some quick photos from our weekend....

We spent a good chunk of time at a violin repair shop in the U-district while we got mom's violin fixed up for Eric to get started on. The fiddle just gleams now....

Then we went to Haller Lake with Matt and Micky for some dog swim time....

Finn really has figured out how good he is at swimming. He went again with Micky, and they raced after the "buoy" toy. The best part is when Finn would turn his head to see how far behind him Micky is...

they have a great time playing together.... best dog buddys!

We also did a bunch of gardening -- mostly flowery stuff in the front yard, but also paid some attention to the veggie garden. This is the herb garden (foreground) and the leafy greens section (middle), with the tomatoes and hops against the fence.

We're having ceasar salad for dinner tonight!
